FLY is FUN

Hi guys,
Would it be possible to integrate the stratux data?
Stratus runs on a raspberry platform with SDR dongle which can receive ADS-B signals and with a GPS/AHRS unit, data from both can be received through WiFi stratux transmit.
I am doing some tests with this set-up and, unfortunate, an other aviation navigation app. All looks good but I want to use FiF and use the data from my Stratux device.

Stratux is open-source, the app integration instructions (https://github.com/cyoung/stratux/blob/master/notes/app-vendor-integration.md) seem very easy to understand. All of the other applications that support this however, are very expensive, and/or based on American airspace, and not suited for use in Europe. ADSB will eventually be required everywhere, in the US it is required from 2020 onwards. ADBS is a relevant means of collision avoidance, and I'm sure many would be glad to see it supported in Fly is Fun.

For some example glue code, you could check out Avare (https://github.com/apps4av/avare), which is open source, but unfortunately only based on US airspaces, and with very poor map support.

I just integrated support for Aeolus Sense. Do you still want Stratux integration?

Me too. I want to buy the FlightBox which is inexpensive. Apart from ads-b it includes a GPS and an optional AHRS unit. A very handy little box to have onbroad.

Would still love to have GDL 90 over wifi support, so we could use the inexpensive uAvionix pingBuddy: http://www.uavionix.com/products/pingbuddy/

It would be great having within FIF ADSB IN integration

I have been using Fly is fun for a long time and I am extremely satisfied with it. I went to sun and fun in Florida this year and most of the applications have the stratux support already implemented. I prefer Fly is Fun over most of the major app but the Stratux support will be more important every day. Is there a way I can help you with the implementation? I have a very little programming experience with Android Studio and Java.
